Kawasaki Superbike Challenge is a racing game released for the Sega Game Gear in 1995. The game was developed by Probe Software and published by Sega. It is based on the real-world Kawasaki Superbike World Championship, a motorcycle racing competition that ran from 1988 to 1996.
The player can choose from four different bikes: a Kawasaki ZXR750, a Kawasaki ZX7R, a Kawasaki GPZ900R and a Kawasaki GPZ1000RX. Each bike has its own stats such as acceleration, top speed, handling and durability. The player must choose their bike carefully as it will affect their performance in the race. In addition to the single-player mode, Kawasaki Superbike Challenge also features two-player split screen multiplayer mode where players can compete against each other or team up to complete races together.
The game takes place across eight different tracks located around the world including Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and America. Each track has its own unique characteristics such as elevation changes, tight turns and long straights which require the player to adjust their riding style accordingly in order to be successful. The player must also be mindful of their fuel consumption as running out of fuel will cause them to lose precious time during the race.
Kawasaki Superbike Challenge offers several different gameplay modes including Arcade Mode where players can compete against computer-controlled opponents; Time Attack Mode where they must complete laps within certain time limits; Endurance Mode which requires players to complete multiple laps without refueling; and Championship Mode which consists of multiple races held over different tracks with points awarded for each race win. Players are also able to customize their bikes with upgrades such as better tires or more powerful engines in order to improve their performance on the track. In addition to this, there are several hidden features that can be unlocked by completing specific tasks throughout the game.
Overall, Kawasaki Superbike Challenge is an enjoyable and challenging racing game that offers great replay value due to its variety of play modes and upgradeable bikes. Fans of motorcycling or racing games will definitely enjoy this title as it provides an immersive experience with realistic graphics and sound effects that bring out all the thrills of high-speed racing!
