Faceball 2000 is a first person, 3D shooter game developed by Arsys Software and released for the Sega Game Gear in 1995. The player takes control of a character named "Tiger" who must fight his way through a series of futuristic arenas and battle against enemy robots to reach the end of each level.

The game starts off with an introduction sequence that sets up the story: Tiger is a cyborg soldier sent into the future to investigate a mysterious energy source known as "Faceball". He soon discovers that Faceball has been used to create an army of robotic warriors, led by an evil entity known as Mechlord. With no other choice, Tiger must fight his way through these robots in order to stop Mechlord from taking over the world.

Gameplay consists of navigating through various 3D environments while shooting enemies with your gun. As you progress through each level you will find power-ups such as extra health, weapons or even bonus points. There are also hidden items scattered throughout each stage that can be collected for additional bonuses. Some levels also contain secret passages which can be accessed by finding switches or other objects within the environment. Once all enemies have been defeated and all items collected, players will move on to the next area until they reach the final boss at the end of the game.

The graphics in Faceball 2000 are quite impressive for its time and still hold up today; although they are not on par with modern titles, they still look great on a small Game Gear screen. The visuals are quite detailed and feature some nice effects such as fog and lighting which help add depth to each stage. The sound effects are also good, with some catchy tunes accompanying each level along with appropriate sound effects when shooting enemies or picking up power-ups.

Overall Faceball 2000 is an enjoyable 3D shooter that offers plenty of challenge combined with some classic arcade action. While it may not have aged particularly well compared to more modern games, it still provides plenty of entertainment for those looking for some retro thrills on their Sega Game Gear console.
