Last Bible III is a role-playing video game developed and published by Namco released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1995. It is the third installment of the Last Bible series, following Last Bible and Last Bible II. The game follows a group of four adventurers on their quest to save their world from an impending apocalypse.
The game starts off with the player choosing one of four main characters: Lina, Dias, Chisato, and Taro. Each character has their own unique abilities and skills that will be useful throughout the adventure. After selecting a character, the player is then taken to an overhead view of a map where they can select which location they would like to explore. Locations range from dungeons and caves to towns and cities, each with its own set of enemies and obstacles that must be overcome before progressing further into the story.
Once at a location, the player will take control of their chosen character in a side-scrolling format similar to other SNES RPGs such as Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest. Combat is turn-based with each party member having access to various physical attacks as well as magical spells or special abilities that can be used against enemies. Defeating enemies will reward players with experience points which can be used to level up characters and make them stronger in battle. As players progress through the story they will gain access to new locations with tougher enemies as well as powerful items and equipment which can help them on their journey.
One unique feature of Last Bible III is its nonlinear progression system which allows players to choose which areas they want to explore first instead of being forced down a linear path like in most traditional RPGs. This allows for more freedom when it comes to exploring different areas of the game world and encourages players to experiment with different strategies when tackling difficult battles or puzzles.
Overall, Last Bible III is an exciting RPG experience full of adventure, exploration, combat, puzzles and interesting characters that will keep you entertained for hours on end. With its nonlinear structure allowing for more freedom than other traditional RPGs and plenty of content to keep you busy, it’s no surprise why this classic SNES title still holds up today as one of the best role-playing games ever released on the console.
