Bakumatsu Kourinden Oni (also known as “The Last Blade”) is a Super Nintendo game released in 1994. It was developed by SNK and published by Takara. The game is a 2D side-scrolling action-adventure set in the Bakumatsu period of Japan, just before the Meiji Restoration.

In the game, you take control of a young samurai named Shintaro, who has been sent on a mission to save his village from an invading force.
