Art of Fighting is a super Nintendo game released in 1994 by SNK. It is a fighting game which follows the story of Ryo Sakazaki, who is on a mission to find his missing sister Yuri. The player takes control of Ryo or one of the other playable characters in the game and battles their way through various opponents.
The gameplay of Art of Fighting consists of two-dimensional side-scrolling stages in which the player must defeat all enemies in order to advance. As with most fighting games, each character has their own unique moves and abilities that set them apart from each other. The player can also perform special attacks such as "Desperation Moves" and "Super Desperation Moves". These moves require the player to use up some health points but are very powerful and can turn the tide of battle in their favor.
In addition to the single-player mode, Art of Fighting also offers a multiplayer mode allowing two players to compete against each other using either split screen or link cable connections. This adds an extra layer of strategy and allows players to practice before they face off against tougher computer opponents.
Art of Fighting features vibrant graphics and detailed sprites that bring the action to life on screen. The soundtrack consists of catchy tunes composed by Yoshihiro Sakaguchi that further enhance the atmosphere as you battle your way through each stage.
Overall, Art Of Fighting is an enjoyable classic fighting game for fans of the genre or those looking for a bit more challenge than what was offered by traditional beat ‘em ups at the time. Its colorful visuals, interesting characters, varied stages, and exciting combat make it well worth checking out if you have not done so already.
