Wizardry III - Diamond no Kishi is a classic role-playing game released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1988. It is the third installment of the popular Wizardry series, and one of the earliest console RPGs available in Japan. The game follows the adventures of an unnamed hero on a quest to save the kingdom from an evil wizard known as Gremlins.
The player begins their journey by selecting a character class from six different options – fighter, mage, priest, thief, ninja or samurai. Each class has its own advantages and disadvantages when it comes to combat and magic spells. After creating their character, players begin their journey at the castle gates of Garinham. Here they must face off against a variety of enemies such as goblins and trolls before advancing into town. Once inside Garinham, players can purchase weapons and armor, visit shops and other buildings, talk with NPC’s or receive quests from locals.
The main objective of Wizardry III - Diamond no Kishi is to defeat Gremlins by exploring dungeons and fighting monsters until they reach his lair deep within Castle Garinham. Along the way players will also have to solve puzzles, collect items and battle powerful bosses in order to progress further in the game. When facing enemies in combat, players can use physical attacks or cast spells depending on their character class. Successful battles will reward experience points which can be used to level up your character’s stats such as strength or magic power.
Wizardry III - Diamond no Kishi features an expansive world filled with secrets waiting to be discovered by brave adventurers willing to take on the challenge that lies ahead. Despite being released over 30 years ago, this classic RPG still stands out as one of the best NES games ever made and continues to captivate gamers today with its engaging story line and challenging gameplay mechanics.
