Spy vs Spy is a classic game from the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) released in 1987. It was developed by First Star Software and published by Kemco-Seika. The game is based on the comic strip of the same name created by Antonio Prohías. In Spy vs Spy, two spies are pitted against each other in a race to collect items from a secret base and escape. The objective of the game is to be the first spy to collect all his or her items and make it out of the base alive.
The game takes place inside a secret military base filled with traps, mazes, and enemies. Each level has its own unique design with various obstacles that must be avoided or destroyed. As you progress through each level, you must find keys to open doors, avoid guards and security cameras, disarm traps, and collect items such as briefcases, documents, and money bags. There are also power ups that can help your spy along such as invincibility stars and bombs that can destroy walls or obstacles blocking your way.
You have three lives at the start of each level; if you die three times then it’s Game Over! You also have a limited amount of time to complete each level before an alarm sounds which will cause all doors to lock shut making it impossible for either spy to escape with their loot.
Each level consists of two floors: an upper floor where most of your objectives are located and a lower floor where you can find helpful items such as extra lives or ammo for your gun. You control one spy while another AI-controlled opponent controls the other one; both spies can interact with objects in the environment such as pushing crates around or setting off alarms which can alert guards or security cameras making them more difficult to avoid or pass through undetected.
The goal of Spy vs Spy is simple yet challenging: be the first spy to successfully collect all their items from a secret base without being killed by traps or enemies and escape before time runs out! The game features colorful graphics and sound effects appropriate for its time period along with some humorous dialogue between both spies when they meet up in certain levels adding life into this classic NES title. Whether playing alone against an AI-controlled opponent or against a friend in two-player mode, Spy vs Spy is sure to provide hours of strategic fun!
