M.U.S.C.L.E (Millions of Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere) was a unique and highly original video game released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1986. The game was based on a popular Japanese toy line of the same name and featured colorful characters known as “MUSCLEmen” who fought each other in an arena style battle royale.

The objective of M.U.S.C.L.E was to defeat all the other opponents by depleting their health bar or knocking them off the playing field with special attacks, throws, or power-ups that could be used during battle. Players had to use strategy to outwit their opponents and survive until only one remained standing in order to win the match and progress through the game’s various levels and scenarios.

The gameplay of M.U.S.C.L.E was quite simple but still incredibly fun and engaging thanks to its colorful visuals, humorous dialogue between characters, and intense action-packed battles that could take place at any moment in time as players faced off against each other or a variety of computer controlled opponents known as “Thugs” which included robots, aliens, monsters, and more!

In addition to its exciting single player mode where players could battle it out against AIs or human opponents via link cable connection, M.U.S.C.L.E also offered a unique tournament system which allowed up to four players to compete against each other in turn-based matches with one player being crowned champion after defeating all others in a row without losing once themselves!

With its vibrant 8-bit graphics, catchy soundtrack, entertaining dialogue between characters, deep yet accessible gameplay mechanics, wide range of customizable options for both single player and multiplayer modes alike, M U S C L E is an excellent example of how classic games from the NES era can still provide hours upon hours of fun even today over 30 years later!
