Play Qix Online
Qix, a classic Nintendo Game Boy game, has been providing entertainment for gamers since its release in 1990.
The objective of the game is to clear away sections of the screen while avoiding QIX, SPARX and FUSE.
It’s a fast-paced game that requires quick reflexes and strategic thinking to win.
The premise of QIX is simple: you control a marker - resembling a triangle with an arrow at the tip - which can move around the screen in any direction.
As it moves, it draws lines on the screen, creating boxes or rectangles; when these are completed, they are removed from the playfield.
You must avoid QIX, SPARX and FUSE while drawing your lines and clearing away sections of the playfield.
If you touch one of these enemies or if your line touches one of their existing ones, you lose one life.
You must also watch out for the timer bar at the bottom of the screen; if it reaches zero before you complete your task, you also lose a life.
There are four levels in total; each level presents different obstacles such as “tornado” boxes that move across the screen or “spider” boxes that follow your marker around as you draw.
The goal is to clear away 75% or more of each level before progressing to the next one.
When all four levels are complete, you have won and can start again from level 1 if desired.
QIX is an exciting game that tests players' reaction time and strategy skills alike; it's also great for playing with friends as up to two players can compete against each other simultaneously.
The graphics may be basic compared to modern games but this doesn't detract from its charm; after all, it's still just as fun today as it was nearly three decades ago! QIX is an important part of gaming history; its simple yet addictive gameplay has been copied by countless titles over the years and some versions even feature 3D graphics for added immersion.
Whether you're looking for some nostalgic fun or just want to see what all the fuss is about, QIX is an ideal choice for Nintendo Game Boy fans everywhere!
