Godzilla has been a popular topic of conversation since it first appeared in the 1954 Japanese film of the same name. The giant monster has gone on to become an international icon, appearing in movies, television series, comic books, and video games. One of the most iconic Godzilla games was released for the Nintendo Game Boy in 1991.
Godzilla: Monster of Monsters is a top-down action game that pits players against various monsters from the Godzilla universe. Players take control of either Godzilla or Mothra and must fight their way through eight stages filled with enemies such as King Ghidorah, Biollante, Mechagodzilla, Gigan and more. The objective is to reach the end of each stage and defeat the boss without losing all your health.
The game features two different modes: Story Mode and Versus Mode. In Story Mode, players must complete each stage as either Godzilla or Mothra while fighting their way through hordes of monsters. Each stage also contains hidden items which can be used to upgrade characters’ abilities and weapons. After completing a stage, players are taken to a bonus round where they can earn extra points by destroying buildings and other objects within a certain time limit.
In Versus Mode, up to four players can compete against each other using either Godzilla or Mothra characters. Players can battle it out in two different arenas; one is an enclosed arena where they must fight until only one player remains standing while the other is an open field where they must collect power-ups scattered around the map while trying to avoid being destroyed by their opponents’ attacks.
Overall, Godzilla: Monster of Monsters is an excellent game for fans of both classic gaming and giant monsters alike. The game features interesting levels with plenty of enemies to fight and secrets to discover as well as a competitive multiplayer mode that adds even more replay value. Its simple but enjoyable gameplay makes it easy for newcomers to pick up while still providing enough challenge for experienced gamers too – making it an ideal choice for anyone looking for some classic monster-bashing fun on their Nintendo Game Boy!
