Mr. Driller is a classic puzzle game for the Nintendo Game Boy Color released in 2000. Developed by Namco, Mr. Driller puts players into the shoes of Susumu Hori, an adventurous driller who must dig his way through colorful blocks to reach the bottom of each stage. The objective of the game is to dig as deep as possible while avoiding enemies and obstacles such as falling blocks and air capsules that can cause Susumu to lose health. Players must also collect items such as air capsules and power-ups which can help them progress through levels faster.

The gameplay in Mr. Driller is simple yet challenging; the player simply has to press left or right on the D-pad to move Susumu around each stage and press A to drill down into the blocks below him. As he drills, blocks will slowly disappear from underneath him, creating a path for him to continue drilling down until he reaches the bottom of each stage. Along with this basic premise, there are several other elements that add depth and challenge to the game including a timer which decreases with every second spent in-game, and various power-ups which can be collected along the way such as invincibility stars or extra air capsules for breathing underwater stages.

The difficulty settings in Mr. Driller range from easy to hard so that players can adjust their experience accordingly depending on their skill level; however, even on easy mode, it’s still quite difficult to make it all the way through some levels due to the constantly increasing speed at which blocks fall and other hazards that appear throughout gameplay. Additionally, Mr. Driller features two different modes: Drill Land Mode (the main story mode) where players progress through 50+ stages by digging their way downwards; and Time Attack Mode where they have 5 minutes to drill as deep as possible before time runs out. There are also online leaderboards for both modes so players can compete against others around the world for high scores!
