Sonic Battle is a fighting game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance in 2003. It was the first Sonic-themed game to be released on the Game Boy Advance system. The game is set in a 3D environment, with characters from the Sonic universe engaging in one-on-one battles. Players can choose from twelve characters, each with their own unique attacks and abilities.

The story of Sonic Battle follows Shadow the Hedgehog, who has unleashed an energy wave that causes robots known as E-Series to go berserk. As a result of this chaos, Shadow challenges Sonic and his friends to battle him in order to prove himself as the true leader of the world. Each character must fight their way through several stages set across various locations within Mobius, such as Station Square, Emerald Coast and Mystic Ruins.

Gameplay consists of two players battling it out in a three dimensional arena using various techniques and moves specific to their character. Each character has different stats such as attack power, defense power, speed and special moves which determine how powerful they are compared to other characters. Combat involves using physical attacks such as punches and kicks as well as ranged attacks like fireballs or lightning bolts. Special moves are also available which can inflict large amounts of damage if used correctly. In addition to these attacks there are also items which can be collected during battle that provide temporary bonuses or healing effects for both players.

Players can customize their characters with accessories such as hats or sunglasses which give them bonus stats or special abilities when equipped before a match starts. There are also several modes available including Story Mode where players progress through levels while unlocking new characters and accessories; Versus Mode where two players engage in one-on-one battles; Mission Mode where players complete certain objectives; Training mode where they practice against a computer opponent; Survival Mode where they must survive multiple rounds of combat; and Mini Games which include racing against other characters or playing soccer with robot opponents .

All in all, Sonic Battle is an enjoyable fighting game featuring lovable characters from the Sonic universe engaging in battle across various stages filled with hazards and obstacles. With its wide variety of modes, customizable options and fast paced action, it’s no surprise why this title remains popular among fans even today – nearly two decades after its release!
