Shrek - Super Slam is a fighting game released for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance in 2006. The game was developed by Artificial Mind and Movement and published by Activision. The game features characters from the popular Shrek movie series, as well as other DreamWorks characters.
The objective of the game is to defeat your opponents using various moves and combos. Players can choose from nine different characters, each with their own unique set of moves and abilities. These include Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Puss in Boots, Gingy, Lord Farquaad, Dragon, Prince Charming and Wolf. Each character has four different special moves which can be used to attack opponents or defend against attacks. In addition to this there are also four super slams that can be used to finish off opponents if they have been weakened enough.
Players can battle either in single player mode or against up to three other players in multiplayer mode using a link cable. In single player mode there are five levels of difficulty that can be chosen from: easy, medium, hard, expert and master. Each level contains several stages where players must fight through multiple waves of enemies before reaching the boss at the end of the stage.
The gameplay in Super Slam is fairly simple but fun at the same time. Players will need to use their characters’ special moves in order to defeat enemies or defend themselves against attacks from other players. This requires good timing and strategy as some moves take longer than others to perform or may leave you vulnerable if not executed correctly. If timed correctly however these special moves can cause massive damage to your opponent’s health bar making them easier to defeat quickly without taking too much damage yourself in return.
In addition to the standard matches available there are also two bonus modes that can be unlocked by completing certain tasks during normal gameplay: Battle Arena and Gauntlet Mode. In Battle Arena players must face an entire team of computer-controlled opponents while Gauntlet Mode requires them to survive multiple waves of increasingly difficult enemies before they reach the end boss stage at which point they will receive a reward depending on how many lives they have remaining when they reach it.
Overall Shrek - Super Slam is an enjoyable fighting game with plenty of replay value thanks to its variety of characters and unlockable bonus modes. The graphics are quite basic but still serviceable for a Game Boy Advance title while the sound effects are also quite decent adding something extra to each battle scene encountered throughout the game’s levels and stages. All things considered this is definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for an entertaining fighting game experience on your Game Boy Advance system!
