The Powerpuff Girls: Him and Seek is an action-adventure game for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance that was released in 2005. Developed by WayForward Technologies, the game was based on the Cartoon Network show of the same name. The game follows Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup as they try to find the evil monkey Mojo Jojo who has kidnapped their professor and stolen his invention, the ‘Dimensionalizer’. The player must explore a variety of levels in Townsville, fighting a variety of enemies in order to progress through each level.

The gameplay of The Powerpuff Girls: Him and Seek is fairly simple and straightforward. The player takes control of one of three characters; Blossom, Bubbles or Buttercup. Each character has their own unique abilities; Blossom can fly while Bubbles can use her bubbles to trap enemies, and Buttercup can use her strength to lift heavy objects. As the player progresses through each level they must defeat various enemies using their character’s abilities as well as collect items which can be used to open up new areas or gain access to special bonuses. The player also has access to a number of gadgets which can be used throughout the game such as a grappling hook or rocket boots which allow them to reach higher areas otherwise inaccessible.

The graphics in The Powerpuff Girls: Him and Seek are relatively basic but do capture the cartoon-like feel of the show it is based upon. All the characters are brightly coloured with large eyes and exaggerated features which add to its charm. The levels themselves are quite varied ranging from city streets to spooky forests with plenty of detail included that help make them look believable and interesting. There is also a nice selection of music tracks that accompany each level adding further atmosphere to proceedings.

Overall, The Powerpuff Girls: Him and Seek is an enjoyable action-adventure game that captures all the charm and fun from its source material whilst providing enough challenge for gamers looking for something different than your standard platformer or shooter title on Game Boy Advance.
