Game Box Esportes Radicais is a sports-themed Sega Master System game released in 1989. It was developed by Tec Toy, a Brazilian video game developer, and published by Sega. The game features five different extreme sports activities: BMX, skateboarding, surfing, hang gliding, and snowboarding. Players can choose to compete in any of these events as well as free roam around the various levels.
The BMX event has the player controlling a cyclist who must race against four other opponents across a track filled with ramps and obstacles. The player can perform tricks such as wheelies and bunny hops while racing to gain points. The skateboarding event has the player take control of a skater who must perform tricks on half-pipes or ramps while trying to stay ahead of their competition. Surfing requires the player to ride waves while avoiding obstacles and sharks that appear from time to time. Hang gliding is similar to surfing but instead involves the player flying through rings suspended in midair while avoiding birds that try to knock them off course. Snowboarding tasks the player with navigating an icy mountain slope full of jumps and moguls while trying not to crash into trees or rocks along the way.
Each event comes with its own unique style of graphics which are colorful and detailed for an 8-bit system like the Sega Master System. The controls are simple yet effective allowing players of all ages and skill levels to enjoy each event without feeling overwhelmed or frustrated with complicated inputs. The sound effects are basic but they still manage to capture the feel of each sport quite well adding some extra charm to each activity.
Overall Game Box Esportes Radicais is an enjoyable collection of extreme sports activities that anyone can pick up and play without much difficulty due to its intuitive controls and vibrant visuals. While it may not be one of Sega’s more iconic titles it still provides an entertaining experience for those looking for some quick adrenaline rushes without having to leave their homes!
