Ultimate Soccer is a soccer video game developed and published by Sega for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive console. It was first released in Japan on October 6, 1992 and later in North America and Europe in 1993. The game features three different modes: Exhibition, League, and Cup.

In Exhibition mode, the player can choose from multiple teams representing various countries as well as an All-Star team composed of the best players from each team. Each team has its own set of attributes such as speed, shooting power, passing accuracy, etc., which can be adjusted before the match begins. In addition to this, players can also adjust the length of the match (from 2 minutes to 99 minutes) and whether or not they want to use any special moves or tactics during play.

In League mode, players compete with other teams in order to become champions of their chosen league. At the start of each season, teams are randomly assigned to a division based on their performance from the previous season. Players then take turns playing each team in their division until every team has been played twice (once at home and once away). After all matches have been completed, points are tallied up and whichever team has the most points becomes champion of that division.

Finally, there is Cup mode which allows players to compete against teams from around the world in a tournament style format similar to what happens in real life soccer tournaments such as the World Cup or European Championship. Once again players must select their desired teams before beginning play but this time they will also need to select which cup they wish to participate in (e.g., World Cup, European Championship). After selecting their desired cup tournament type it’s time for some action! As with League mode players must win all matches within their group stage if they wish to advance further into the competition.
