Poker Faced Paul’s Solitaire is an exciting video game for the Sega Game Gear. This single-player game offers a unique way to experience the classic card game of solitaire. Players must make poker hands out of the cards dealt from the deck, and achieve the highest score possible by earning points from each hand. The object of Poker Faced Paul’s Solitaire is to clear all of the cards from the playing field before time runs out.
The game starts off with a five-by-five grid of cards, with four columns and five rows. Each column has four face down cards and one face up card at the top. At the beginning of each round, players are dealt three more face up cards that they can use to create their poker hands in any order they choose.
Players must create poker hands by arranging the cards on their playing field in groups of two or more. These groups may consist of a pair (two identical cards), three-of-a-kind (three identical cards), four-of-a-kind (four identical cards), or even a full house (two pairs plus three-of-a-kind). Once these hands are made, they will be locked into place and points will be awarded based on how difficult it was to make them. Players must also take care to avoid making straights or flushes as these will result in no points being awarded for that particular hand.
Once all possible poker hands have been made, players can then move on to clearing their playing fields by selecting two adjacent cards that add up to thirteen (e.g., 6 + 7 = 13). When this happens, those two cards are removed from play and replaced with new ones from the deck below them. If no more combinations can be made, players can discard any remaining card in their hand for one point each before moving on to draw new ones from the deck until all their playing fields have been cleared and all possible poker hands have been made.
At the end of each round, players are rewarded with bonus points depending on how many consecutive rounds they were able to successfully complete without making any mistakes or running out of time. The overall goal is to accumulate as many points as possible within a given amount of time in order to reach higher levels and unlock additional features such as bonus levels and special items that can help boost scores even further!
Poker Faced Paul’s Solitaire is an entertaining way for fans of solitaire games or card games alike to enjoy some strategic thinking while enjoying some classic gaming fun! With its simple yet challenging gameplay mechanics and colorful visuals, this Sega Game Gear title is sure to keep gamers entertained for hours on end!
