NBA Jam is a classic arcade-style basketball video game released for the Sega Game Gear in 1995. Developed by Acclaim Entertainment, NBA Jam is based on the popular NBA Jam series of games from the early 1990s. The game features two-on-two basketball action with real NBA teams and players, as well as over-the-top moves, dunks and powerups.

The objective of NBA Jam is to score more points than your opponent in a two minute period. Players can choose from any one of the 27 NBA teams available at the time, or create their own custom team with up to five players. Each team consists of two players who can be controlled by either one or two human players. The controls are simple and intuitive: each player has an A and B button for passing and shooting respectively, while pressing down on the directional pad will cause the player to sprint. There are also turbo buttons which allow you to quickly move around the court or perform special moves like alley-oops or spin moves.

In addition to regular gameplay, there are several powerups that can be earned throughout a match. These include super speed, fireballs, extra points, invincibility and turbo jumps which all help give you an edge against your opponents. As you progress through matches you’ll also unlock bonus teams such as classic NBA All Stars or even aliens!

The graphics in NBA Jam are bright and colourful with detailed sprites for each player on screen at once without any slowdown or lag issues. The music is upbeat and catchy with some nice sound effects thrown in for good measure.

Overall, if you’re looking for some fast paced arcade style basketball action then look no further than NBA Jam for the Sega Game Gear! With its simple controls and over-the-top powerups it’s sure to keep you entertained for hours on end!
