Obitus is an action-adventure video game released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1991. Developed by Millennium Interactive and published by Psygnosis, the game was designed to be a spiritual successor to the popular Ultima series of RPGs. The player takes the role of an unnamed hero who is tasked with restoring balance to the kingdom of Obitus after it is thrown into chaos by an evil wizard named Zorgon.

The player starts their journey in a small village called Greydew where they must learn more about their mission and find allies to help them on their quest. Along the way, they will explore dungeons, solve puzzles, and battle enemies using weapons found throughout the world. In addition to traditional combat, players can also use magic spells and summon monsters to aid them in battle. As they progress through the game, players will gain experience points which can be used to upgrade their character’s stats and abilities.

The world of Obitus consists of four main areas: Greydew Village, The Forest of Shadows, The Wastelands, and The Tower of Zorgon. Each area contains numerous dungeons filled with puzzles and enemies that must be conquered before progressing further into the game. Players must also collect various items such as keys and magical artifacts in order to complete certain objectives or open new areas. There are also side-quests available throughout each region which reward players with valuable rewards when completed.

Overall, Obitus offers a unique blend of RPG elements along with action-adventure gameplay for a truly engaging experience. With its challenging yet rewarding quest system, varied locations, interesting characters, and detailed graphics; Obitus stands out among other games on the SNES as one of its most memorable titles from that era.
