Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is a side-scrolling action game released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1995. It was developed by Natsume and published by Bandai. The game follows the adventures of five teenagers with attitude, who have been chosen to protect the world from evil forces, as they battle their way through various levels in an effort to save Angel Grove and the world from destruction.
The player can choose to play one of five different characters: Red Ranger, Blue Ranger, Yellow Ranger, Pink Ranger or Black Ranger. Each character has their own unique set of powers and abilities which can be used during gameplay. The objective of the game is to fight against enemies such as Putties, monsters created by Rita Repulsa and her minions, in order to reach the end of each level. Along the way, players will collect power coins which can be used to upgrade their ranger’s abilities and purchase new weapons.
Players must use a combination of physical attacks and special moves in order to defeat their foes. As they progress through each level they will encounter larger and more powerful enemies that require more strategy to defeat them. At certain points throughout each level there are mini-games which provide additional challenges for players. These mini-games are typically time-based puzzles or reflex tests that must be completed before progressing further in the level.
The graphics in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are quite simple but effective; featuring colorful environments with detailed sprites representing both the rangers and their enemies. The music also helps create an immersive atmosphere with its catchy melodies and upbeat rhythms that add excitement while playing through each level.
Overall Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is a fun action game that provides hours of entertainment for fans of the television series as well as those who just enjoy classic side-scrolling action games on the SNES console. With its simple yet engaging gameplay mechanics, colorful visuals and memorable soundtrack it remains one of the best titles available on this platform even today
