Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu (also known as Fire Emblem 4) is a tactical role-playing game developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It is the fourth installment in the Fire Emblem series, and was released in Japan on May 14, 1996.
The story of Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu takes place in Jugdral, a continent divided into five countries. The main protagonist is Sigurd, the prince of Grannvale. He is joined by his brother-in-law Quan and his sister Ethlyn in an epic journey to save Jugdral from an evil empire. During their travels, they meet many allies who join them on their quest to defeat the empire and restore peace to Jugdral.
Gameplay wise, Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu plays like a turn-based strategy RPG. The player must move their characters around a grid-like map while engaging enemies with weapons such as swords, lances and bows. As characters gain experience points from battles they can level up and learn new abilities or upgrade existing ones through a "class change" system which allows them to become stronger versions of themselves with different stats and skills. In addition to regular battles there are also special side missions which can be completed for additional rewards such as gold or items.
The game features a variety of characters from different nations in Jugdral who each have their own motivations and goals. The relationships between these characters play an important part in the game's story as well as its gameplay mechanics; some character classes have special abilities that can only be used when fighting alongside certain other characters or when facing enemies from specific nations. In addition to this, players must also take into consideration how character death affects the story; if too many important characters die then it may prevent certain events from happening or lead to an early game over.
Overall, Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu is an excellent tactical role-playing game that combines complex strategic elements with an interesting storyline and memorable characters. It is one of the most beloved entries in the series and continues to be enjoyed by fans even today thanks to its unique blend of deep mechanics and engaging narrative.
