Cool Spot is a platformer video game developed by Virgin Games and published by Virgin Interactive Entertainment for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). It was released in North America on April 28, 1993, and in Europe on May 13, 1993. The game stars Cool Spot, a mascot of 7 Up, as the player-character.

The objective of Cool Spot is to navigate the levels while collecting seven red spots scattered throughout each level. The red spots are usually hidden or located in difficult to reach places. As Cool Spot collects more red spots he can unlock new levels and increase his score. In addition to red spots, there are also yellow 7 Up bottles that give bonus points when collected. These yellow bottles also act as checkpoints and can be used to restart at any point if the player dies during a level.

The levels in Cool Spot feature various obstacles such as moving platforms, enemies, and spikes that Cool Spot must avoid or defeat in order to progress through them. There are also power-ups such as invincibility stars and speed boots that help him traverse the levels faster or make him temporarily invincible. There is also a time limit set for each level; if it runs out before all of the red spots have been collected then the level will end with a loss of life for Cool Spot.

Cool Spot features five different worlds with four levels each; these include an underwater world, a jungle world, an ice world, an outer space world and a factory world. Each world contains unique enemies and bosses that must be defeated before progressing further into the game. Additionally there are two secret bonus levels which can be unlocked after completing certain tasks within other levels or by using special codes found on promotional material for the game.

Overall Cool Spot is an enjoyable platformer game offering fun challenge for all ages with its vibrant graphics and catchy music. Its simple gameplay makes it accessible to players of all skill levels while still providing enough challenge to keep them engaged throughout the entire experience.
