Smurfs, The is a classic Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) game that was released in 1989. It was developed by Infogrames and published by NBCUniversal.

The objective of the game is to guide the Smurfs through various levels in order to reach their village and save it from Gargamel. The player controls one of four Smurfs: Papa Smurf, Brainy Smurf, Handy Smurf, or Grouchy Smurf. Each of these characters has unique abilities such as flying or swimming which are used to progress through the levels. The player must collect items such as keys, gems and food in order to progress further in the game. As well as this, there are numerous enemies that must be avoided or defeated in order for the player to succeed.

The game starts with an introductory sequence featuring Papa Smurf who explains the story and introduces the four playable characters. Then each level begins with a map screen which displays all available areas that can be explored. As the player progresses through each level they will encounter various obstacles such as pits and spikes which must be navigated around or jumped over in order to proceed further into the level. Additionally, there are hidden items such as extra lives which can be collected if found.

The levels become progressively more difficult as they progress with new enemies being encountered along with an increase in traps and obstacles that need to be overcome. At certain points throughout the levels there will also be boss battles which require a higher level of skill than regular enemies do in order for them to be defeated. Once all levels have been completed successfully then a final battle against Gargamel awaits at which point victory is achieved if he is defeated!

Smurfs: The Game is considered a classic NES title due its fun gameplay and vibrant visuals that still hold up today despite its age. It’s certainly worth checking out for any fans of retro gaming or those looking for something different from modern titles!
