Four Players Tennis is a sports video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1988. The game is a spin-off of the original Tennis title released for the NES in 1984. It features four different players, each with their own distinct abilities and attributes, as they compete against each other on a tennis court.

The game features both single-player and two-player modes. In single-player mode, the player takes control of one of the four characters and competes against computer-controlled opponents in a series of matches. In two-player mode, two human players can compete against each other or team up to take on the computer opponents together.

The four playable characters in Four Players Tennis are Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Daisy. Each character has their own unique style of play which affects how they perform during matches. Mario is a well rounded character who is good at all aspects of tennis; Luigi is stronger than Mario but slower; Peach has great speed but lacks power; and Daisy is an aggressive player who relies heavily on power shots to win points.

Each match begins with both players taking turns serving until one player wins three points or reaches 15 points; whichever comes first. During play, each character can move around the court freely using either the directional pad or joystick to make shots while trying to return their opponent’s shots with precision timing to score points. A variety of special moves can also be used during play such as lobs, drop shots, smashes and more which are executed by pressing specific combinations of buttons on the controller. Additionally, there are also power meters which fill up over time when performing certain actions that can be used to increase shot accuracy or add extra spin to shots when activated mid-play.

Overall, Four Players Tennis provides an excellent experience for casual gamers looking for some fun competition from friends or family members without having to invest too much time into it. With its simple yet engaging gameplay mechanics combined with its colorful visuals and catchy music soundtrack it makes for an enjoyable experience overall whether playing alone or with others.
