Sports Illustrated Championship Football & Baseball is a sports game released for the Nintendo Game Boy in 1992. Developed by Sculptured Software and published by Acclaim Entertainment, it was one of the few sports games available at the time for the Game Boy.

For football, players choose from 16 teams and compete in an 8-game season before trying to win the championship. The game features two different modes of play: exhibition (for single games) or season (for longer campaigns). In baseball mode players can choose between four teams – the Boston Red Soxs , Chicago Cubs , Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees – and compete in a full 162-game regular season. After that is complete players then move onto a best-of-seven series to win the title. Players have full control over their team’s lineup as well as managing their pitching rotation to get through the grueling schedule.

The graphics on Sports Illustrated Championship Football & Baseball are quite good for a game boy title considering its age. The player sprites are detailed while still maintaining a cartoonish look that fits perfectly with this type of game. The stadiums also look great with various details like scoreboards and dugouts adding to the realism. The sound effects are also quite good with various crowd noises being present during matches as well as some decent music playing during menus and cutscenes.

Overall Sports Illustrated Championship Football & Baseball is an enjoyable sports simulation game that is still fun to play today despite its age. Its simple controls make it easy to pick up and play while still providing enough depth for more experienced gamers to enjoy too.
