Pac-Man is one of the most iconic and beloved video games in history.

It has been around since the early 1980s, and it still remains a popular choice for gamers today.

The game was originally released on arcade machines, but has since been ported to home consoles, handhelds, and even mobile devices.

One of its first ports was to the Nintendo Game Boy Color in 1999.

The original Pac-Man arcade game was created by Namco and released in Japan in May 1980.

The player controls the titular character through a maze filled with dots (known as Pac-Dots), which he must collect while avoiding four multi-colored ghosts known as Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde.

As he collects more dots, the ghosts become faster and harder to avoid.

The goal of the game is to eat all the dots before being caught by a ghost or running out of time.

Pac-Man on Game Boy Color features all the same gameplay elements as its arcade counterpart while making use of some unique features exclusive to this version.

For instance, Pac-Man can now move diagonally as well as left or right; he can also jump over gaps in order to access different areas of the maze faster.

Additionally, instead of having only four ghosts chasing him at once, there are now eight ghosts that will make it much harder for him to escape their clutches.

The player’s score is based on how many Pac-Dots they have collected over time; each dot gives one point while special items such as fruits give even more points when eaten.

As with other versions of Pac-Man, there are bonus rounds between levels where players can collect extra points by eating various items such as fruits or keys without being chased by any ghosts.

When these bonus rounds end, players will be rewarded with an extra life if they manage to eat all the items before time runs out.

Other features exclusive to this version include new mazes with different layouts than those found in previous versions; new power ups that give Pac-Man special abilities such as invincibility; and even a two player mode where two people can compete against each other using different colored versions of Pac-Man on a single Game Boy Color system.

Pac-Man for Game Boy Color offers up plenty of classic fun with some added bonuses that make it worth playing over other versions available at the time.

Its portability makes it perfect for gamers who want to take their favorite game with them wherever they go; its graphics may not be great compared to modern titles but still look good enough considering its age; and its two player mode adds an extra layer of competition that makes it stand out from other classic releases on Nintendo's portable console system.

All these factors combined make this version of Pac-Man a great choice for anyone looking for some retro gaming goodness on their Game Boy Color system
