The LEGO Alpha Team is an action-adventure video game developed by Silicon Dreams and published by LEGO Media for the Nintendo Game Boy Color. Released in 2000, it was the first LEGO video game to be released on a handheld console. The game follows the story of Alpha Team, a group of four special agents who must save the world from an evil scientist named Doctor Inferno. Players take control of one of the four agents (Ogel, Flex, Radia, or Charge) and must complete various missions in order to progress through the game.
Players control their agent from an overhead perspective as they navigate through levels filled with enemies and obstacles. Each agent has their own unique abilities and weapons which can be used to defeat enemies or solve puzzles. For example, Ogel can use his grappling hook to reach high platforms while Flex can use her martial arts skills to break through walls. As players progress through each level, they will find power-ups that increase their health, energy, or weapon strength as well as bonus items such as coins which can be used to purchase upgrades at stores scattered throughout the levels.
The game features over 40 levels which become progressively more difficult as players progress through them. In addition to battling enemies and navigating obstacle courses, players must also find keys hidden within each level in order to unlock new areas or progress further into the story. Some levels also feature mini-games such as racing against time or collecting items under a time limit in order to gain access to certain areas or earn extra points.
The game also features a two-player cooperative mode where two players can join forces using link cables in order to work together and complete missions faster and easier than if they were playing alone. This mode allows players to combine their unique abilities in order to make progress faster than if they were playing separately and encourages teamwork between players.
Overall, LEGO Alpha Team is an enjoyable action-adventure game with plenty of content for both single player and cooperative play modes. With its unique characters, challenging levels, mini-games and cooperative play options it is sure to keep gamers entertained for hours on end. It’s a great way for fans of both LEGO games and platformers alike to get lost in its exciting world full of puzzles, enemies, secrets and adventure!
