International Track & Field for the Nintendo Game Boy Color is an exciting and challenging athletics game.
Developed by Konami, International Track & Field was released in 2000 and has been a popular choice among gamers ever since.
The game features eight events, including 100m, 110m Hurdles, Hammer Throw, Long Jump, Javelin Throw, High Jump, Triple Jump and Shot Put.
Players can compete against each other or the computer in single or multi-player mode.
The objective of International Track & Field is to complete all eight events as quickly as possible.
Players must press the A and B buttons in alternating sequence to make their character run faster and longer.
Other controls involve timing button presses when jumping or throwing an object.
Each event has three levels of difficulty which determine how fast players have to press the buttons to achieve success.
For example, on easy mode players may only need to press the buttons two times per second whereas on hard mode they may need to press them up to four times per second.
Players can choose from 24 characters from all over the world such as USA's Brad; Japan's Manabu; China's Ling; France's Gaspard; England's Lottie; Germany's Karl; South Africa's Thandi; Mexico's Carlos and many more.
As players progress through their chosen event they will be awarded medals depending on their performance (gold for first place, silver for second place and bronze for third).
After completing all eight events, players will be rewarded with a special trophy depending on how well they performed overall.
International Track & Field also includes several bonus games which can be unlocked after completing certain tasks within the main events such as achieving a certain score or beating a certain time limit.
These bonus games include Relay Race where players compete against each other in a relay race around a track using just one finger; Beach Volleyball where two players battle it out against each other on the beach using only one hand each and Long Distance Run which tests player’s speed endurance over 10 laps of a track.
There are also mini-games which require different skills such as shooting targets with javelins or aiming at hoops with basketballs that appear randomly throughout playtime adding extra excitement and challenge to this already challenging game! Overall International Track & Field is an excellent choice for those looking for an enjoyable but intense athletic gaming experience on their Nintendo Game Boy Color console! With its simple yet effective controls making it easy enough for beginners while still providing plenty of challenges even for experienced gamers – International Track & Field is sure to keep you entertained for hours!
